Course Description:

This course follows the PDPA WSQ standard curriculum and assessment established by the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC). The content includes an overview of the Personal Data Protection Act (2012), Data Protection Provisions and Do Not Call Provisions, and the role of the Data Protection Officer. Participants will learn to create an organization’s Data Inventory Map, identify potential non-compliance areas, and resolve disputes. The course also covers training and communication for data protection compliance, managing data breaches, and developing a communications plan and management reporting.

By the end of the course, participants will understand the definition of personal data, an organization’s processes, procedures, and guidelines for Data Protection Management Programme (DPMP), the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA), the data lifecycle under PDPA, obligations and accountability under PDPA, and best practices for operationalizing PDPA.
